R&P’s good work on employment issues for many of its foreign clients over the past years has not gone unnoticed by China Law & Practice (www.chinalawandpractice.com). This leading China Law magazine each year prepares a ranking for particular areas of expertise, for its annual China Law & Practice Awards event. Despite its short existence, R&P has been short-listed as one of the finalists for the title China Employment Law Firm of the Year 2011!

CLP’s recognition is mainly due to the firm’s work advising foreign businesses on structuring employment relations and corporate governance issues, drafting board resolutions, employment handbooks and labor contracts, and in dealing with disputes – especially involving senior managers and directors.

The latter field is a growing specialty. As a foreign-managed Chinese law firm, foreign companies entrust R&P on some of the most sensitive aspects of their business. In recent months for example, R&P has supported various clients all over China on severing employment relations with senior managers, arranging for the hand-over of stamps, licenses and other material documents, negotiating suitable severance packages, and representing clients in labor arbitrations and court.

R&P is extremely pleased with this recognition of our expertise in this field, and the hard work of our team members since the firm’s founding in 2010.
